Replacement car antenna

Some time ago, I had to remove a Chrysler Voyager radio antenna. As it turned out, not only are instructions on removal nonexistent, but the antenna was made of idiotic materials which simultaneously rust together and are extremely fragile. Therefore, impossible to remove without damage.

Once I "removed" the antenna, it was obvious that auto scrap yard was not an option I went to a retail store for a replacement antenna. I bought something, but it asked for a larger hole to be cut out. And once installed, that antenna did not secure properly and stay straight upright.

Therefore, buying such antenna is doing worse than not buying anything at all.

Therefore, consult with your dealer and/or car repair book on how to remove the antenna, and buy an antenna specific to your mounting options and dimensions.
