Note that the catalytic converter is attached to the exhaust pipe. There is no disconnection point. OEM style catalytic converter will be several yards long and very expensive.

The only cheaper option is to buy a catalytic converter that you would need to have welded in instead of the old one. In that case, the new catalytic converter must still match the original one in size and shape, and must have a threaded hole for the downstream oxygen sensor.
