TomTom Live subscription and troubleshooting

1) TomTom Live subscription cannot be purchased from the website, or over the phone. The only way to start a subscription is to connect your device to TomTom home program, and start the subscription from there. That is also the only place to renew a subscription if it ended for some reason.

Additional stupidity: if the subscription stops for some reason (end of trial, problem with the card, etc) only the device or TomTom home will tell you this. The website and calling phone support will be of no use.

2) If you have purchased the subscription, but your device does not seem to use it, and logging into the account on the device has the dialog trying to "connect to the server" for some time without any results, stop trying and reset your device. To reset, press and hold the power button until you hear the drumming sound. Live services should now start to work once you provide your account and password.
