ChemicalLogic's website is the only one I know of that does not work without "www." Try "chemicalogic.com".
I have always found it stupid when people would proceed to say out loud the whole URL including the "http://www." Come on, browsers should be more intelligent than that!
Why the hell Avast 4.8 did not say 5.0 was available just like stupid Firefox???
