House roof shingles alternative
Per someone I know, 15+ year warranty on roof shingles is not worth the extra cost, because it is fake warranty. Shingles used are the same, and the installation business frequently changes business name to eliminate warranty claims.
The same person told me that a concrete roof is much better than shingles. It lasts much longer, is lightweight, and can be made to look like anything else (like wood, asphalt, painted, etc, etc).
