Cannot play high-definition video with VLC

If you are trying to play high-definition (HD) video on your computer with VideoLAN VLC media player, you may be experiencing video lag and audio skip / stuttering.

VLC has not been optimized to utilize the graphics card for HD video playback. Try using MediaPlayer Classic HomeCinema instead for HD video playback.
