Cannot scan at 2400dpi

If you are trying to scan at 2400dpi, and after the long period of time the scanner takes to scan at this resolution the software does not get an image, then you have run into a known issue.

I am also unable to scan at 1200dpi or 2400dpi with Paint.Net.

GIMP is able to acquire a scan at 1200dpi, but after a long period of "Transferring data from scanner/camera" progress bar (do not close program while this is in progress!).

But even with GIMP my scan at 2400dpi fails. I suspect that the program / data transfer runs into a memory limitation issue. Try previewing the scan and selecting a smaller area (not the full size possible with the scanner) to scan.
