Load OpenOffice into memory during startup

With both OpenOffice and its fork LibreOffice, I could never get the option

Tools>Options>Memory>Load *Office during system start-up

to work. I do not know whether this is due to user rights or privileges, or something else.

The only way I could get this to work was manually.

Create a shortcut to OpenOffice Program Files quickstart.exe program, for example:

C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 3.6\program\quickstart.exe (for 32-bit OS)

C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 3.6\program\quickstart.exe (for 64-bit OS)

Place that shortcut into Start Menu>Programs>Startup.

Restart your computer to take this change into effect.

Note that you can view or change your startup items from

Start Menu>Run>msconfig
