The Art of Electronics by Paul Horowitz, Winfield Hill

The Art of Electronics by Paul Horowitz, Winfield Hill

This book does not deserve all the hype it gets. It is written like a college textbook, with all the flaws - unnecessary boring details, focus on certain topics which are not important, and an attempt to cover just about everything.

Semiconductor theory, the most important part of electronics, is written confusingly.

DO NOT make this book your introductory book. Its benefit will only be found by people experienced in electronics, while beginners will find it overwhelming.
