Colleges that Change Lives by Loren Pope
An inspirational book, more than anything else. Should be read by high school students before entering college, as well as those in the college system.
Can also be read by parents of students.
In my opinion, Ivy League is much more about brand name recognition that it is about education (most education at Ivy League is pressure to live up to the hyped image of the school).
Synopsis:
A+ students are not the only ones who can go to a great college. There are plenty of colleges around for students who are not A+ types, but which will care greatly about giving you a great education and a great time staying at the college.
