Fascinating read that I would recommend to anyone who likes sci-fi. Book is said to be suitable for ages 12 and up. Let me tell you, if your 12 year young kid reads this it will be infinitely more useful than playing a video game. But I see nothing that makes this book for kids and not adults. I have enjoyed it very much.

Synopsis:

Futuristic school team was supposed to get a short exam stay on an alien planet, but their portal back to Earth is disabled and kids are left to survive and live on their own on an alien planet.
