Bad Astronomy by Philip Plait
Bad Astronomy by Philip Plait
This book should be read by every couch scientist, this should be taught in schools, and it should be required reading for just about anybody.
Wonderful book in misunderstood down-to-earth issues in astronomy. Things that are commonly misunderstood, false information you hear all the time, etc, etc all covered in this book.
Very easy to read, no blabbering and space-filling text.
Would make a perfect gift for anyone even slightly interested in science.
