Jamsa's C/C++/C# Programmer's Bible by Kris Jamsa
This book is insane. It's insanely big. It's an insanely useful reference.
How this book works: it introduces just about every language trick, method, idea, etc as a brief explanation and a code example. You just decide what you want, search for where it is mentioned, and you have the text and the code example.
For those who would like an in-depth knowledge of one of the languages -- go thru every example that you find interesting or useful. I did.
Worth the buy as a reference book.
