Information on Barrister Global Services Network, Inc
What is Barrister?
They describe themselves as a third-party warranty provider for office electronics and computer equipment.
Are they good at what they do?
I don't think so. They have been advertising positions on Craigslist for repair technicians. Guess what? They have been getting new people even though they did not have enough work for the people they had (more on this later).
Furthermore, the technicians they were looking for WERE NOT INTERVIEWED, TESTED, CERTIFIED, OR TRAINED. No verification was done whatsoever besides what anyone would claim on their resume/application.
Pay is not good as well. It's something like $50 per call, few calls. You are self-employed/contractor to IRS. And you are paid after two weeks after finishing the job.
Number of calls? I have been monitoring. There were a total of 15 (fifteen) calls in 3 (three) months. AND THEY WERE LOOKING FOR MORE PEOPLE???
Do not employ Barrister, and do not become an employee. Stay away. Those naive enough to pay Barrister should have instead hired a local tech guy who would have done it cheaper, faster, better, and happier.
