Where and how can I rent a Honda Fit for a long-term test drive

So, the current thinking is that you can go to the dealer based on brand recognition or an advertising you came across, choose from among many different types of vehicles they have, test drive for fifteen minutes, and plunge down a lot of money and commit to that car for years???

If you are one of the smart ones, you have placed a lot of research before buying a car. And you probably want to drive it for a week to be absolutely sure.

Well, if you chose a Honda Fit, there are (of course) good and bad news. The good news is that you made the right choice. Yes, the car is not the size of SUV. But you can fit just as much stuff (I have myself measured same volume as in CR-V), and with the 37 long term fuel economy (my driving conditions).

The bad news is that the car is hard to find, prices haven't come down by a lot, and it is impossible to find one for rent. Honda does not discount Fits to rental fleets, therefore rental companies do not have it available for rent.

And most dealers no longer rent besides the test drive.

Oh, and only buy the second generation (2009+) Sport, used certified Honda Fit.
