How to block or filter Google Search results
Here is what to do if you want to block unwanted websites from appearing in Google Search results:
You need to have a Google account for one of their products.
Then, log in to the account.
Do a search first. On the page that appears, click the upper-right "gear" icon, and select "Search Settings":
On the page that appears, click on:
Blocking unwanted results
When signed in, you can block unwanted sites from your search results.
I recommend to block the following websites:
www.youtube.com (because if I ever want to search for a video, I would search from that website directly)
www.ehow.com (for giving fake results)
www.fixya.com (for giving fake results)
www.answers.com (for giving fake results)
www.ecrater.com (for being an untrustworthy website)
www.facebook.com (for blocking Google crawl bot, and for violating users' First Amendment rights by blocking accounts which they "don't like").
There's also a way to further blocking these websites, no matter which service (Google Search or not) you are using, by directly blocking these website in your computer's Networking DNS settings.
