A: If you are on a civilized parking lot like a shopping mall, take a picture of the lot number from the post with your cellphone or camera. For uncivilized parking lots like on large venues or outdoor events, use your detacheable car GPS if you have one. Save your current location as a favorite or navpoint. If you have a long radio antenna, attach something to it that you will recognize from a distance.
When leaving a car on a large parking lot, take a picture of the lot number with your cellphone or camera. On large events without lot numbers, you can set your gps to the car location, and take it with you for it to later show the way back to your car.
