That is a Wal-Mart notepad with a Staples gel ink pen placed inside the spiral. This is the most portable note taking tool that I have come up with.

Tip: toilet bowl treatment solutions (fe Clorox automatic toilet bowl cleaner) will likely eliminate restroom smells as well (originating from the toilet).

Tip: as soon as you get liquid on an electronic item (water, coffee, etc) it is extremely important to shut it down / power off as soon as possible, remove the batteries, and TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN. Only then attempt to use a cloth/tissue paper to wipe the liquid off. Firstly, damage to electronics occurs not immediate, but later when corrosion occurs after some time. Secondly, while you can wipe the liquid off the surface, it has probably already spread down openings and gaps inside the device. Hence the urgent need to turn the device upside down.

Tip: When leaving a car on a large parking lot, take a picture of the lot number with your cellphone or camera. On large events without lot numbers, you can set your gps to the car location, and take it with you for it to later show the way back to your car.

Tip: if you are like me, and take plenty of notes on paper that you then keep in your pocket, then use a water proof ink. Why? A single round of a washer or rain on your pants will tell you why.

Tip: try not to put chopped onion in salads that you make at home, or sandwiches/subs that you order elsewhere. Onion goes bad first, and spoils the rest.

Filling a plastic gas can almost to the top and capping it tightly will present a problem - when it is hot, the can will inflate and deform, and gasoline vapor will escape and smell. To prevent the triple effect of can deformation, gas escaping, and vapor smelling, fill the gas can almost to the top, then press on the sides to bring the level of gas up somewhat, then cap tightly. When it is cold, the can will be deformed somewhat inward, and when it is hot, it will inflate to the regular size. No gas vapor will escape.

Tip: Even with anti-virus software like Avast! running, you sometimes should scan the C: drive manually on the highest detection setting to be absolutely sure you are not infected, or if you see any signs of problems (if you see problems, immediately update your virus definitions)

Q: I parked on a huge parking lot. How can I get back to my car?

A: If you are on a civilized parking lot like a shopping mall, take a picture of the lot number from the post with your cellphone or camera. For uncivilized parking lots like on large venues or outdoor events, use your detacheable car GPS if you have one. Save your current location as a favorite or navpoint. If you have a long radio antenna, attach something to it that you will recognize from a distance.

Tip: Drink a glass of water before a meal for great benefit! It'll make you not go thirsty if you eat solid food, help your stomach, and stop you before you eat too much food. Actually, many times when you think you are hungry your body is actually thirsty. It just thinks that it would get water from food. Well, not from solid and dry American food, and that is where the problem is. Also, if you find yourself thirsty, then it's already too late to drink water to fix the problem, as you should have drank water before you ever get thirsty.
