Word cannot open the existing file.
One of the plethora of idiotic Micro$oft error messages, this error message is usually temporary, and it says that Word cannot open the Normal template. It may mean one of the following:
1) You are opening two files at the same time. Try opening the file again
2) You are editing the Normal template
3) The Normal template is locked for any number of reasons
