Q: How can I close the computer CD/DVD tray from my computer (not using the button on the drive itself?)
A: Use Tooler. You can also use EjectMe! yahoo widget and CD Tray Pal taskbar utility.

Q: Which program can I use to edit various behavior of Windows?
A: Use PowerToys TweakUI. This very useful utility, strangely not at all promoted by Microsoft, is able to change many settings, among them:
- Control program focus (whether an opening program pops a window covering all other windows, or stays hidden in background untill you click on it)
- Change history settings
- Control all desktop icons (you can even hide recycle bin, and so on)
- Control autoplay
- Disable unneded or obsolete file templates
- Rebuild icons (where wrong icons are shown for files)
- And many more useful settings
