Free or open source video editors for Windows

Currently, there are ABSOLUTELY NONE functional free or open-source video editors for Windows 7.

DO NOT waste your time looking.

If you MUST only use a free solution, then there are few possibilities:

1) If you are OK with the completely dumbed-down version of a video player, you can use Live Essentials Movie Maker. However, there is no import functionality from a video camera. You can only import a file or use a videocam.

2) You can find a Windows XP computer with the older, but more featured Movie Maker for Windows XP.

3) Mac computers come with a video editor.

If you give up and want to pay some money for a movie editor, here are the only editors you should consider:

CyberLink PowerDirector 10 $82

AVS Video Editor 6.2 $59 (purchase option appears only after you install the program)

VideoPad Video Editor $49 / $70
