What is a simple Content Management System?

There are several definitions applicable. Simple CMSes can be:

1. Simple as in simplified, elegant (as CMSMS)
2. Simple as in in-page editing (wiki or a blog)
3. Simple as bare minimum (something you must avoid)

Most people want a simple solution that just allows them to have a basic website. For those people a CMS solution like Mambo/Joomla/Drupal is overkill, restraining, and illogical. On the other hand, too many people are attracted to the false-hope template-based website. It is the purpose of this website to show you the safe path away from those two extremes (too-big CMSes and templates).
