Eon by Greg Bear
Eon by Greg Bear
Interesting concept and a fast-paced ending development. However, this book is at 500 pages paperback, with unnecessary character details, subplots, and the like. Worth a purchase. Slow beginning, interesting middle, fascinating end.
Synopsis:
An obviously artificially made asteroid approaches Earth. Primarily-USA scientist team explores the asteroid and finds that it contains alien technology and empty buildings inside. At the same time, political tension rises back on Earth due to the exploratory team being USA-controlled.
