Remove MediaWiki footer

If you wish to remove the footer:

1) Log in to your wiki website.

2) Open the MediaWiki:Common.css page. This is done manually by putting that text after the / in your site URL, replacing the title of the page that you are currently viewing (such as Main_Page)

3) Edit the page that appears. Add this below "/* CSS placed here will be applied to all skins */"

div#footer

Save the page.

To edit the navigation bar (to remove useless events and community portal links, but to add links to your main website), edit the MediaWiki:Sidebar page.

If you want to edit the footer instead, or add items to it, use the FooterManager extension.
