Variable output flashlight

I see that some people visit this website requesting a variable output flashlight on Google.

My suggestion: you do not need variable output.

It is hyped about as an expensive toy that you must have, but just get a workhorse of a flashlight.

My solution is to carry a Best small flashlight portal with a belt pouch full of several sets of rechargeable batteries (Costco or similar club warehouse store will sell a large set of rechargeable batteries for an affordable single unit cost).

Therefore, the first part of their claim (select the life of the battery) I do not care about.

As far as being able to set it to a bright light for walking and a dim one for reading something, well there cheap (free) solutions for that.

Don't salivate over expensive toys that will go unused most of the time.

And DO spend time outdoors.
